Docks Academy

Mental Health Awareness week is the 9th-15th May, and this year is focused on Loneliness.

Loneliness is affecting more and more of us and has had a huge impact on our physical and mental health during the pandemic. Our connection to other people, socialising and being part of a community is fundamental to protecting our mental health and we need to find better ways of tackling the epidemic of loneliness.

So, during that week some of the Docks Academy team will be be in Freshney Place shopping centre (Monday 9th) and Freeman Street Market (Tuesday 10th) to chat to as many of you as possible.

If you (or you know of anyone) would benefit from a free, safe and friendly social event please do come along. This may be daunting but we would love to see you pop in even just for a cuppa.
