Green Grimsby

Our very special town is the renewable energy capital of England, generating more electricity from solar, wind, biomass and landfill gas than anywhere else in the country. Great Grimsby itself makes an astonishing 28 percent of the electricity it uses from green sources, much of it from household solar panels and wind turbines.

We believe in treading lightly on our planet, taking care of it before we hand it over to the next generation. So this year, we’re going to be holding a series of exciting events and in-centre experiences that will generate huge excitement in the region and beyond and most importantly, spread the message that with just a little love and attention, our precious planet will benefit.

We’re calling it Freshney Place Green Grimsby, and we hope you’ll come along and be part of it.
