School choir brought festive cheer to customers at Freshney Place Shopping Centre
Posted: Monday 23rd DecemberA total of 52 children visited, Freshney Place on December 19th to sing and sign a number of festive songs and carols. The children from New Waltham Academy included some of the school’s Junior Choir and the Makaton Club.
The Makaton Club pupils, who had been learning the communication skill for around a year accompanied the choir, signing the songs for the local community to enjoy.
The children sang and signed a number of festive favourites including, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Santa Clause is Coming to Town, they will also combined with the choir to sing many other favourites at Market Square.
