Customers Invited to Make Their Own Kinetic Carousel at Freshney Place Shopping CentrePosted: Thursday 16th August
On Friday, 31 August, we are offering customers the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of kinetic energy as part of our year-long Green Grimsby initiative.
Taking place between 11am and 4pm the free educational crafting event will take place at Market Square, near Starbucks, and children will be able to make and decorate their own carousels powered by kinetic energy and take them home.
Whilst enjoying sticking, gluing and colouring, children will also be able to learn about how kinetic energy works and how important it is.
Amanda Austin, our Centre Director said: “We enjoy hosting crafting events as we know how popular they are with our customers, the fact that we can also combine some learning is a bonus. You can’t beat learning whilst having fun and with our current campaign, Green Grimsby it’s important to let children know the small steps we can all take that can help reduce our impact on the environment.”
Freshney Place Green Grimsby is designed to drive greater awareness of environmental issues and renewable energy whilst encouraging a greener approach to living.
