The British Heart Foundation Home Store Opens Its DoorsPosted: Tuesday 18th December
The Mayor of North East Lincolnshire, Councillor Hazel Chase, was joined by Freshney Place staff, British Heart Foundation employees, volunteers and the local community today to celebrate the opening of the new British Heart Foundation (BHF) furniture and home store whilst cutting the ribbon to officially open the shop.
The shop stocks a huge range of good quality and affordable second-hand items such as beds, wardrobes, tables, TV’s, sofas and homeware accessories and will help the BHF fund innovative life-saving research into heart and circulatory disease.
Councillor Hazel Chase said: “It was an absolute pleasure to officially open this British Heart Foundation store and meet the great staff and volunteers. I would encourage locals to support BHF by donating their good quality unwanted items to help this fantastic charity to beat heartbreak forever.”
The charity is urging local people to donate to the home store with unwanted furniture or home accessories in good condition and can offer a free collection service.
Richard Lay, Area Manager at the BHF commented: “The opening of the new Grimsby store went extremely well. Each item sold will help the BHF fund life-saving heart research, so please do come by to see what great bargains are on offer.
Amanda Austin, Centre Director at Freshney Place said: “We’re delighted to welcome The British Heart Foundation to Freshney Place, it will be a great addition to our extensive and diverse retail offering. We are sure they will be very popular with our customers and we wish them every success.”
The shop is located at 1-9 Flottergate Mall.
